Green Valley Oaks Community Info
Community Information
The Green Valley oaks are unlike a lot of its neighboring gated communities. It has no cc&rs or other regulations. Trash collection is picked up every week including recycling. Trash collection fees vary per can but are roughly seven dollars per can per week. All utilities are provided by PG&E except propane which is provided privately. The community has been zoned single unit, residential. All houses have at least 3 acre lots giving privacy to the owners.
The Green Valley Oaks is located in Placerville. Placerville is an incorporated city; it is also a charter city.
Parks and Recreation
The Millennium sports club is a premium fitness establishment serving the need of the west Placerville/ shingle springs area. It is equipped with 35,000 sq feet of top of the line fitness equipment. Complete with swimming pool tennis courts, basketball courts, massage area, personal trainers and many more first-rate work out equipment found only in a premier fitness club. The club is a scenic 11 minute drive through the beautiful shingle springs county side.
The Henningson Lotus Park is a breath taking park located on the southern fork of the American river. The 51 acre park is equipped with an enclosed pavilion and BBQ area. This combination plus the two soccer fields make Lotus Henningson Park an ideal place to host events. The park is located 16 minutes down lotus road towards Sutter Mill, the historic gold discovery site.
Positives and Negatives of the Green Valley Oaks
Some of the potential challenges to a newcomer to the Placerville area (specifically the Green Valley oaks) might find it a bit rural. Also some home buyers choose to be in a community, rather then home on lots with acreage.
The Positives are endless. The green valley oaks are ideal for animal ranging from horses and goats to property with huge fenced yards for dogs. Also people who enjoy the outdoors will love their 3 acre (at least) lot. In the Green Valley Oaks deer foxes and even coyotes are seen often, proven this a very rural setting.
Who Else is Involved in the Area
REMAX gold constantly holds the most listings in the Green Valley Oaks. Diana Bolton currently holds the most listing in the neighborhood; in this area she holds 4 listings of homes. All of her listed homes have gorgeous views, as you can see on her website http://www.homesontheweb4u.com/. She has been practicing Real Estate in this area for 18 years. I think she is successful because the homes she lists are all very gorgeous homes, all with exceptionally nice views.

THE GREEN VALLEY OAKS
The beautiful Green Valley oaks community is located on scenic Mullberry Lane, off of Green Valley rd., just west of Greenstone gated community. It is a rustic area with beautiful views of rolling hills and green valleys, chalk full of large elderly oak trees (hence the name).
The Green Valley Oaks is a striking community of approximately 60 homes all of which have at least 3 acre lots. The larger lots are convenient for those interested in horses, cows, goats, and other farm animals. The Area was developed in 1988 by Carter Builders. Along with most of the homes around the area the Green Valley Oaks are custom homes built before a lot of the newer tract homes where built, making them all very different with no common theme used.
The area along with a lot of the neighboring lots where developed and originally used by the gold miners after the 1840s, and you can see in the dredged hills. This area is less than 10 miles away from the historic Sutter mill in Coloma. This is the gold discovery site which prompted millions of travelers in search of gold to the area in the 1840-50s.
There are two elementary schools and a middle school a quick 5 miles away. The 2 High schools in the are a are both relatively the same length from Green Valley Oaks
The Green Valley Oaks is in the Mother Lode union School district and the El Dorado Union High school district, which has many schools all with exceptional API schools. The closest to the community are (API scores in bold)

biography
My name is Dave Myers. I was born May 31 1988 in Placerville Ca. I have a mother father and sister all of whom i live with. I attended Indian creek elementary, Herbert grren middle school and Union Mine high school. I now attend Folsom Lake College and hope to get a business or advertising degree.
