The beautiful Green Valley oaks community is located on scenic Mullberry Lane, off of Green Valley rd., just west of Greenstone gated community. It is a rustic area with beautiful views of rolling hills and green valleys, chalk full of large elderly oak trees (hence the name).
The Green Valley Oaks is a striking community of approximately 60 homes all of which have at least 3 acre lots. The larger lots are convenient for those interested in horses, cows, goats, and other farm animals. The Area was developed in 1988 by Carter Builders. Along with most of the homes around the area the Green Valley Oaks are custom homes built before a lot of the newer tract homes where built, making them all very different with no common theme used.
The area along with a lot of the neighboring lots where developed and originally used by the gold miners after the 1840s, and you can see in the dredged hills. This area is less than 10 miles away from the historic Sutter mill in Coloma. This is the gold discovery site which prompted millions of travelers in search of gold to the area in the 1840-50s.

Before the gold rush this area was owned by the Miwok Indians. Acorn grinding stones have been found in the Green Valley Oaks proving that even Indians knew the right place to live was the Green Valley Oaks.
